Happy National Nurses Week From The Execu|Search Group!

May 6, 2020 Catherine Tacopina

As we begin to celebrate National Nurses Week, we want to extend our deepest gratitude this year to each of the nursing professionals we work with. Last year, the Executive Board of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Nurses Association declared 2020 as the “Year of the Nurse” in honor of Florence Nightingale’s 200th birthday. While many of us could not have predicted just how serious the COVID-19 pandemic would become, there couldn’t be a more appropriate way to honor nurses this National Nurses Week.

“Nurses often are the people who motivate us to live healthier lives,” says Amanda Cruse, Senior Managing Director of The Execu|Search Group’s Healthcare division. “They are caregivers, teachers, advocates, and innovators. Often putting their patients’ needs above their own, we know our nurses work tirelessly to give back to their communities. As we witness their bravery and commitment to their patients through this crisis, we can’t thank all of our nurses enough!”

National Nurses Week was originally established in 1954 to honor Florence Nightingale. Today it is a national event that celebrates the contributions that nurses and nursing make to the community. Learn more: http://www.nursingworld.org/NationalNursesWeek-History
